Sometimes I wish that I could program just so that I can add the features that I want for pleroma.
-
@nerthos And I thought America had tipping culture bad.
-
@nerthos My post about giving a few pounds is unrelated to the OP. It is a direct reference to the grooming gang scandal. She went to see her friends who were girls around her age but they weren't there. She went to the toilet and ended up being raped. The man gave her small change for that. The police didn't believe her story even though the man confessed to the crime. Apparently you can have consensual sex with a minor even though the law calls it statutory rape and she says it wasn't consented to. I mean, who am I to believe in this instance anyway? That man had no business being around her. I think she was around 13 if memory serves. I do agree that it is important to not dilute the terms and what happens.
-
@nerthos Well, you are on the right instance for shitposting! I'm a terrible shitposter because I seriouspost so much.
-
"According to RAINN, every 68 seconds an American is sexually assaulted. The CDC estimates the annual economic cost of rape in the United States at nearly $3.1 trillion, although the actual cost could be much higher. "
You could save trillions by not raping people. I'm sold.
-
@nerthos Wait - do the raping or be raped for free?
-
@nerthos Well, yeah. Men bribe so you'll come back for more. Usually in free alcoholic drinks and drugs. So you get to be treated like an adult which is cool but can't object to the sex later on. One girl did get £5 for being raped, presumably so she'll get some sweeties for herself, think what a kind man for raping me and come back again to see her friends. She didn't. But I'm sure it makes the men feel good to treat girls like prostitutes.
-
@nerthos They chose to pay them. They literally didn't have to but it makes it easier to keep them quiet or to come back for more. These are minors here. No privilege about it.
-
@MK2boogaloo Yeah. I wouldn't fall for it now. I was much younger then and still figuring out what I liked.
-
Honestly feels like I dodged a bullet when I turned down the opportunity to date a Muslim for a different reason... seemed a bit desperate that I didn't do this. But, I just think, what are you doing, mate? Literally trying to date a heretic there.
-
@MK2boogaloo Yeah. I hope they are able to resolve it and have more Japanese children.
-
I wouldn't date anyone that followed Islamic teachings. We would be very incompatible. Under their system, I would be dead most likely.
-
@MK2boogaloo Yeah. That is fortunate. Although they are struggling in similar ways the west is when it comes to birth numbers.
-
@MK2boogaloo We'd get kicked off if we were as obvious as that.
-
@MK2boogaloo Is that true? Lol.
-
@MK2boogaloo @Kazak @SuperSnekFriend I don't know that I ever had that sense of community here. But it would be nice to meet people that are like-minded to me.
-
@MK2boogaloo @Kazak @SuperSnekFriend I dread to think how much worse it gets when there are little girls raped here probably daily and the authorities do bugger all about it and downplay it. Or even victim blame like it is some type of lifestyle.
-
@MK2boogaloo @Kazak @SuperSnekFriend I hope they stem the tide. What happens to America often gets imported here.
-
@p @berkberkman I don't think Trotsky would disavow his own views if he read Bell Hooks. But he might have some choice words if it deviates from this own thinking. See the Communist Manifesto for how Marx dealt with the various groups and thoughts of his day. It was so important to denounce these other groups that he named them at the end of his manifesto and let us know they were wrong.
-
I read the communist manifesto wanting it to turn me into a communist, wanting to learn about what the communist utopia looks like. I was disappointed on both things. It seems like the real communism/utopia for communists is the constant struggle for revolution and socialism.
I don't think that reading a book will necessarily radicalise you into thinking that way. I don't know what else needs to be there but I think you generally need to be open and in agreement with what is being said to follow it. Like it has to speak to you but that presupposes that you already agree with those viewpoints even if you couldn't quite articulate them.
