     @RMIV @Twoinchdestroya @William_The_Dragonborn Kinda, sorta. I’m not totally from there but spend time with a lot of good midwestern patriot folk so I have my ear to the ground. I worry that they can actually drag a lot of them back in, but…..I’d like to think they won’t.

     It’s not the wokeness, really. I think it’s the way they’ve handled GWOT vets and thrown away all their work in afghanistan. That really blackpilled the multi-generational service whites. Dad goes off to desert storm, jr grows up wanting to prove himself to the old man, and 20 years later they’re both looking at an empty desert with a grimace thinking “why the hell’d we fight for those assholes?”

     It's gonna be delicious watching them try to put the worms back in the can. Disillusionment is not something so easily fixed. It took 200ish years of good faith to build up the kind of loyalty the military needed for continual replacement of its ranks and I don't see that coming back anytime soon.
     
     I think they will beg, please, cajole, do anything they can but you're not getting white men to give a shit about the United Corp of America anytime soon lmao
