I'm working on an automatic wire stripper. Not sure if I'm going the right way, but this is the most progress I'v made in 3 months.
This is the clamp that holds back the wire while the other part rips the end off. (hopefully just the insulation)
I messed up tho, and the solenoid doesn't like not being able to fully retract, so I have to operate it on ~48VDC.
Next is to work out the stripping mechanism.

So remember that "1820-6189" -> 74HC4514

Rue Mohr (ruenahcmohr@infosec.exchange)'s status on Sunday, 08-Dec-2024 15:09:11 JST Rue Mohr So, a while ago my consumer grade coffee machine, that I modified with wifi and converted to make tea instead, broke.
The element burned out, I'v changed the element 4 times now in its life and desire something more industrial.
I set out to find a commercial coffeemaker that I could modify. As luck would have it, one came along (I actually got it before the consumer grade unit died)
Many things about the machine need to be modified. The current item on my list is to know how full the pot is (or if its even there)
You see, the consumer grade device will not pour water everywhere if there is no pot, but the commercial one will. I have been pondering ways to fix this and might be saved by a snotload (at over $180ea this is a snotload) of load cells I just got from e-waste.
but, should I? It would have to be set up carefully so I could not mechanically shock them. heat could also be an issue. -

It was a lot of work, stupidly so:

The idea seems to be to separate voice and unvoiced sounds.
My plan is to stuff these signals into an AVR and push out the data by serial, I can try analyzing the results on a PC where there is a bit more space to work. -

Rue Mohr (ruenahcmohr@infosec.exchange)'s status on Sunday, 24-Nov-2024 05:27:04 JST Rue Mohr @kiwa @gorplop I mean, you COULD have it stream a serial message at 1200 baud and go around with the RxD of a serial converter as well, but the music thing would be more fun.
"pop does the weasel" seems like it would be a good choice.
I'm sure you both have an electrostatic tracer wand to find it. -
