By doing a WYE-to-DELTA conversion of the last 3 resistors in the R-2R DAC, you can save one resistor. This can help out a lot if your packed for space!

I turned my back for __1_minute__ during a conversation and he completely stopped replying. turns out he's packing for his trip while trying to fix his workbench and diagnosing his 8051 board while wrapping presents.

@gorplop you dissapeared, where did you go?

I got the headers in to solder to the 8051 boards!

I also got in some round RGB LEDs, and, sort of interesting, the pins are not in the same order as the square ones (around common) oh well.

Black PCBs by JLCPCB and green ones by Aisler.

@gorplop the test button will do today. You can even put your finger over the beeper.

YES!!! PCBs have arrived from @aislerhq Sadly the primary purpose for these, an flash ROM carrier, has an incorrect pinout, but I also put a 16 button keyboard decoder and a pwm generator on it which both work!

Good boards! no blistering! (and good Rue for not going wild on the temperature) 👍

All the chips for these boards are recycled. I'm using up lots and I'm really happy about it.

Its alive! I only finished assembling one tonight. I'm hoping that some headers will come in later. Great boards from @aislerhq !

One of the things I'm happy to be using up on these 8051 boards are these stupid 11MHz crystals that I pulled out of a bunch of devices.. Like seriously, 11.000MHz??? WHO DOES THAT!?
