     @ftg @RueNahcMohr this is the new layout for mine. all the kit in the middle needs a new place, i have not decided yet where to put it. But the arrangement is more ergonomic now, with scopes on the left and iron on the right

     @ftg @RueNahcMohr the one in the middle? its not DDS, its an analog VCO with a counter and a digipot strapped in front of it. No PLL :(

     Do you have one of those awful Wavetek DDS signal generators?
     Because it looks like one.
     And I have never managed to coax anything useful out of one.

     @ftg @RueNahcMohr no, its a Voltcraft FG-506. It's nice, but the same as the other one. Counter + some relays to switch waveforms in front of a traditional analog function gen

     The large amount of BNC.s small display and the buttons look like the few Wavetek turds we have at the radio club.

     User interface is complete dogshit.
     And they are for low frequencies.
     Only DDS signal generator I have encountered where you get to set the clocks up yourself.
     Opaque menu hell of <75kHz output.
     I'm not sure I got any of them to reliably produce anything else than 3.4444kHz.
     Infuriating things.
     And too light to make good door stops.
