You know, I have the hope that @forgefriends will help us here with F3.
Basically, providing a service that allows for communication between different (git) Forges.

I'm applying for UI/UX in this regard (with Forgejo) at NLnet at the moment. Ideally with deliverables that can be reused.

What I've seen so far is some people putting a link to their new home (e.g. Codeberg) in the README and archiving GitHub repo.

I was so … sad today when I learned that #KeepBadgesWeird uses Medium.

I hope I can have a conversation with them this year to learn about the motivation and whether a change would be possible.

Right now via API request to webmention.io

But I look at several WebMention implementations.

Plus, I am formally maintainer of webmention.py (but haven't updated after porting to Python 3 - there's a downstream project still relying on Python 2.7 last time I checked).

Well, Netlify pays @zachleat and they have a solution here.

But then you would need to think of what to do if they ever take another turn („decide later“ is valid).

I have started to write small services that run on the same machine, aren't exposed to the Internet and communicate with each other via Redis PubSub.

Currently for fetching content and processing it (so my hoster won't kill Eleventy on every other build).

No forms yet.

For interactivity I started to write Web Components.

@zachleat developed something called WebC for build-time evaluation, so they might not need client-side JavaScript.

Comments (one kind of form) will be included via WebMention (encouraging to set up domains on one's own) and perhaps ActivityPub.

Here I can have a review queue. Could be CLI I run on the server after I SSH into it.

This way I have static files and can focus on hardening on the server when they request the data.
