First there is a ratio between the length of the torso+waist+head : tail that needs to be looked at. Standard species mermaids as an example have an almost 1:1 ratio. So in order to be snake like I would guess its a 1:5 - 1:7 ratio of about 65% of the original characters height, but snek girls are constrictor type snakes for "cuddling" so I would go 1:8 to 1:10.
