The idea is to help people who are already on there get off there.
I'm not advocating anyone should join Twitter.

Unfortunately there's no official way of doing this.
If you're comfortable using github, you can vote for this feature to be added by giving a thumbs up at https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/9463 (thanks to @astro_ray for highlighting this).
Ahhhh, okay... gotcha. They should have written their actual email address in full to avoid this.
It's because the timeline on here is chronological, there's no algorithm.
Most people don't go through every post in their timeline, so they're only likely to see posts that were published when they were awake.
if you want to reach people in other timezones, you can boost your own post at a different time of day/night.
"I once saw one profile with bio like username@domain1 and @domain2 to refer to her email address but my instance decided that it was referring to the fedi account of same name as the domain. So, it's not foolproof"
The username isn't in the bio, it's at the very top of the profile (and usually underneath the username on all posts). The user cannot edit this after the account has been created.
It's a bit hard for me to test this as I don't use requests, but can you see any โ๏ธ or โ icons on the person's profile page?
That's how the web interface does it, maybe the official app is similar?
By the way, you don't have to use the official app. There are lots of good third party apps and they tend to be better than the official app. (For example Tusky, Fedilab, Tooot on Android, Ice Cubes, Toot!, Mona, Ivory on iPhone/iPad.)
It does expand as you type a post?
Replies are a bit more cramped though, yeah...
Yeah, sorry, I don't know of any way to do those things. ๐
Yeah, you can add as many columns as you want!
More info on how to do that in the link ๐
If you're using Mastodon through the web on a computer, there's an optional multicolumn interface you can use instead of the default single column one.
1. Log in through your serverโs website
2. Click โ๏ธ Preferences
3. Tick the box marked Enable Advanced Web Interface
4. Click the Save Changes button
5. Click the Back to Mastodon link at the left of the screen
If you change your mind, click the โ๏ธ icon on the left to get back to settings.

Nearest I can think of at moment is you can follow hashtags through RSS, scroll right to the bottom on this page:
https://fedi.tips/how-do-i-follow-hashtags-on-mastodon-and-the-fediverse/
(If you don't know RSS, it's a way of following the latest articles from websites etc using special apps.)
It's a good book! (Bought a copy and read it, recommended ๐ )
No, unfortunately there's no bell/notification icon for hashtags. Sorry!
There's a guide to the settings at https://fedi.tips/filtering-your-timeline-to-hide-posts-on-mastodon/
It should be in the โ๏ธ Preferences page.
Aww, cheers! ๐
Good luck with this issue!
You can follow one tag, and use filters to hide posts with certain words or phrases.
If people are posting anything to unrelated hashtags that is definitely spam and needs reporting. Posting porn to unrelated tags is even worse.
If your admin won't block it, try moving to a different instance. Mastodon.social is way too large, the moderation is not great there.
For what it's worth, there are some blogs which have had problems despite doing everything correctly.
Apparently hosting companies' policies have sometimes prevented this plugin from working?
You might want to check if anyone can help on the plugin's support forum at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/activitypub/
Sorry I can't be of more help... ๐
Hmm... that's definitely the address, yeah!
Have you tried installing the webfinger plugin? (mentioned in instructions) That has sometimes helped?
Ah, I think that's the web address. Fediverse addresses look something like this:
@ user @ server
I just tried @ workers @ nomugsnomasters.com and it didn't show anything so it sounds like that isn't the blog's Fedi address?
@audios @RunningLeopard @Tehiverse
PeerTube is spread out across many different servers, just like Mastodon.
You can find out more about PeerTube at https://fedi.tips/peertube-video-hosting-on-the-fediverse/
The specific section on publishing to PeerTube is at https://fedi.tips/how-to-publish-videos-and-audio-on-peertube/
Posting about walks with your guide dog is an excellent idea! Let me know if I can help.
