   Given that people seemed to want to post irrelevant topics to unrelated hashtags (for example posting pornography to anime hashtags) it would be nice if we had the opportunity to block hashtags. To take my above example, I could block all the pornography hashtags while following the anime hashtag. ✌️
   I'm not looking for feedback, just a suggestion for a future feature.

     Just use the word/phrase from the hashtag as a filter.

     Also, if people are uploading un-CW porn I would report it. Most servers do not allow that and will block the account.

     There are filters which can completely hide material with particular words or phrases (https://fedi.tips/filtering-your-timeline-to-hide-posts-on-mastodon/), but I wouldn't rely on filters alone.

     It is too easy on any social network or search engine to see something unsuitable with a single click. You'd need some kind of closed-off network instead, sort of how streaming services have kids sections.

     @feditips so I can do something like "follow #anime unless it contains #nsfw or #porn"? That's really what this is about. Pete posting porn to unrelated hashtags tags trying to sell their warez as it were.

     You can follow one tag, and use filters to hide posts with certain words or phrases.

     If people are posting anything to unrelated hashtags that is definitely spam and needs reporting. Posting porn to unrelated tags is even worse.

     If your admin won't block it, try moving to a different instance. Mastodon.social is way too large, the moderation is not great there.

     ok I can't seem to find where filters are. I went through all the icons on the right.
