@WashedOutGundamPilot I've been saying "leave the cities" for years, but the damn cities keep sprawling out into safe countryside. Local government sometimes resists development, but they can be complicit sometimes, or sued into opening the area up.
-
@ArdainianRight @sickburnbro They're going to investigate everyone who publicly supports deportations, and find out if they have an immigrant in their ancestry. They're going to shame those people for hypocrisy, and if none are found they'll shame for "nativism".
Normies don't have ready responses for those emotional attacks.

@WashedOutGundamPilot Well, aside from the 2 years of deplatforming, he also has a naturally dull deadpan voice. Now he gets most of his fun when something big happens to one of his recent harassers. Not a lot of new faces, outside of Bossman Jack who still acts like a "pure" unaware cow.
As for the gender breakdown, KF is weird in that it's about 60/40 male/female. This is because women naturally hate troons, and the Beauty Parlor is extremely well guarded. I don't know about the overall demo off-site, but the genders seem to silo onto individual sites or around individual cows.

@WashedOutGundamPilot Some enterprising gun shop should sell a "whole house" package, with themed guns for each room.

This gun video could save your life. Take it very seriously.

@WashedOutGundamPilot You aren't alone. Null has said the same thing; it was different when cows were obscure or niche, and sending their silliness out into the void to be recorded and laughed at.
Now there's a feedback cycle between their output and the audience. Thanks to social media, donation platforms, and the commoditization of e-fame, they're too aware of the people watching them. The presence of observers changes the behavior of the observed (Heisenberg or Jane Goodall, choose your quote source). That's before you get into the asshole a-lawgs who interfere with them directly.
There's also a problem that a HUGE number of them got into sexual deviancy over the last few years; trooning out, grooming, porn addiction, and oversharing it all on Discord. It's amazing when the funny weirdo on YouTube with 17 views turns out to have a dark secret... it's not funny the 20th time it happens. And it's even less funny when it all happens over Twitter and Discord, just as a matter of content format.

Reactionary Monarchism
Neo-orthodox Accretionism

@Paultron @WashedOutGundamPilot As a Classical Techno-pastoralist (Reform), I approve of that last one.

@PraxisOfEvil "Conservatives who were here when Reagan won California are suddenly abandoning the state after 2020. Weird, must be a cult."
-
@PraxisOfEvil From the parts you provided, I'd go so far as to say it's a combination of all the best advice we have. Abandon the cities, focus on local issues/politics, start families, network, revitalize a separate culture.
The interesting wrinkle is that they say it's white collar guys levering corporate flexibility to keep their jobs as they move. That's an excellent way to transfer capital out into the countryside. But there has to be a place for blue collar families too, it's still expensive for someone barely hanging on the city to find land where these guys are buying.
The one thing I worry about is that the other side knows about rural "fortresses", and has been moving against them for years. I'm sure you've seen all the articles about pajeets and Mexican workers who suddenly show up in small towns, crowd the hotels and apartments, and start causing problems. Under Biden, they're busing in "asylum seeker" immigrants to tiny towns, parking them in hotels on the state's dime. And every now and then, you see wonks and mainstream journalists solemnly telling us that immigration is needed to reverse rural decline.
I hope these guys keep going, but I worry that if anything starts to look like a success, they'll get targeted with weaponized busloads of immigrants to break it up.
-
@PraxisOfEvil @EnnaComa I'm not a fan of WFH nerds driving up prices either. But this isn't happening in a static landscape. The immigrant busing and the encroaching suburbs are already happening, and they'll keep happening whether white Christian Californians also show up or not.
I think those towns are better off with at least someone to balance against the overtly hostile forces, than without. If you're going to bully the MAGA refugees out of town, you better be able to bully the illegal immigrants out too, or you're cutting your own throat. And if you try both at the same time, we all know which group the state will step in to defend.

@graf @sickburnbro It's every damn agency in the US. Bureaucrats have been making shit up without restraint for decades, this opens up a ton of challenges to their interpretations and rules.
-
@pepsi_man @graf @sickburnbro The EPA is a great example of an agency that should be simple, straightforward, and doing the opposite of what it's currently doing.
-
@RustyCrab @PurpCat @sneeden Libraries and archives have explicit carveouts to copyright. IA basically said "yo we're a library" and started lending out virtual copies of books, a similar system to what actual libraries do. The lawsuit said the organization doesn't meet the traditional definition of a library, courts agreed, so they don't get the copyright and virtual lending rights.
I think they're still recognized as a proper archive though, or it hasn't been challenged hard in court yet.
-
@Dicer They were all correct.
-
@ArdainianRight @ChristiJunior @Bad_Banner "But how can you NOT want social approval for everything you do?" asks the shocked women and feminized simps
-
@Dicer @MK2boogaloo Usually you have to take both side panels off first. That kind of front is usually held on by plastic tabs that you can pop off. However, depending on your metal case inside, it may not get you more airflow anyway.
The usual solution is to just take off a side panel.

@weaf WHAT troops?
-
@weaf The meme is a cross-cultural, universal truth.
-
@sickburnbro The French Revolution and the Weimar Republic are the two fastest failing radical reform attempts in nation-state history. They went from "we have bold new ideas about society" to EVERYTHING IS FALLING APART in record time.
(You could make a nitpicky semantic argument to include the original 1917 Bolsheviks, but a close enough version of them stuck around for a long time.)
