Months ago, The Primeagen was suspecious that Devin was a complete scam. I don't believe he's talked in detail about it recently, but I may be wrong about that.
I expect he will, if he hasn't already.

I agree that it has been a slow descent into a weird state of affairs with Mozilla.
I used to be a huge Mozilla fan. I still use Firefox and Thunderbird, but the excitement for them are gone. I now also use the Brave web browser in addition to Firefox.
Mitchell Baker writing an official blog post calling for more censorship, "We need more de-platforming" just seemed so at odds with the "open web" message they had previously promoted.
Their doubling down on AI now just seems like they are intentionally running Mozilla into the ground.

I'm guessing that KVM is available on Linux, but not Windows.
I was just curious to see if there's any new alternative to VirtualBox on Windows as I may be recommending people try Linux in a VM on Windows. -

I'm Linux on all my stuff, but support computers with Windows for customers.
A full computer is much better than virtualization, so I usually try to get people to try a separate computer with Linux instead of a VM, but I thought I'd ask and see if there have been any recent virtualization developments on Windows. -

Hey, question for you.
I haven't paid much attention in years to virtualization within Windows, as I mainly use Linux.
I used to use VirtualBox on Windows to set up VMs of Windows XP for people who needed it for running older applications or VMs for trying out Linux.
Is VirtualBox still the 'go-to' software for that?
Is there anything else that is recommended?

Sip. Sip.
... so now every black person who enjoys coffee and continues to buy it is a white supremacist.
Terrible logic. Too generalist in its pronouncement.

Attempt at Reputation Repair is my take. My hope is that they are not successful. Facebook has proven itself to not operating in the interests of liberty and freedom.

I'm putting together a Windows XP retro gaming PC package to offer for sale.
What open source Windows 32bit games should I include pre-installed?
I ask because I am not much of a gamer and also spend most of my time with Linux, so not familiar with Windows XP games.
Was thinking of Battle for Wesnoth, but looks like the available Windows download is 64bit.
The hardware will be a Dell Optiplex 3010 with i5 3rd gen processor, so not period accurate but more than adequate for Windows XP gaming.

> there is a case to be made for server-side scripting, even on personal websites
I agree.
Have used static site generators, such as Hugo, and mostly been a good experience.
However, the concept of a website being a program instead of just a collection of documents is really interesting and I would like to eventually do more with that.

That sometimes happens!
I fully let them know that there are some Microsoft specific features that LibreOffice doesn't have and that they can always buy Microsoft Office later if they need it.
I have so many frustrations with Microsoft products that I am actively promoting alternatives.

I've recommended @libreoffice as an alternative to Microsoft Office to at least two people over the phone today.

Lots of signs in my area for candidates on both parties.
Slightly less "Harris" specific signs, but there's a lot of generic "Vote for Democrats... because they vote for us" type signs. That's a slightly more palatable way of saying "Vote Blue, no matter who".
A whole lot of Trump signs, both in cities and rural areas, paired with signs for Republicans in local races. In conversation from social.retroedge.tech permalink -
