Hey, question for you.
I haven't paid much attention in years to virtualization within Windows, as I mainly use Linux.
I used to use VirtualBox on Windows to set up VMs of Windows XP for people who needed it for running older applications or VMs for trying out Linux.
Is VirtualBox still the 'go-to' software for that?
Is there anything else that is recommended?

@matthew Use qemu (with libvirt or vms) -

There is QEMU/KVM, which works better than Virtualbox (resource consumption, etc.), but is not as easy to use. -

I'm Linux on all my stuff, but support computers with Windows for customers.
A full computer is much better than virtualization, so I usually try to get people to try a separate computer with Linux instead of a VM, but I thought I'd ask and see if there have been any recent virtualization developments on Windows. -

@matthew @meatgrinder You could just use linux and kvm windoze -

It works on Windows, apparently with some limitations though. But I haven't tested it because I don't use spyware 🤷♂️ -

I'm guessing that KVM is available on Linux, but not Windows.
I was just curious to see if there's any new alternative to VirtualBox on Windows as I may be recommending people try Linux in a VM on Windows. -
