"The nationalist not only does not disapprove of atrocities committed by his own side, but he has a remarkable capacity for not even hearing about them."
@spacehobo@aral that sounds like actual good work. It's a shame he uses the skillset to be passive aggressive and bait people because he wants to feel politically and also 'civility' superior to them.
@pvonhellermannn@aral that's a really good open letter, really constructive and clear. Thank you for setting those things out. Unfortunately a lot of supposedly radical groups don't apply this radicalism to themselves because, as you say, this would mean a loss of control for the kinds of people at the top of a fan club.
Thank to the over 1,000 people who've shared this! I don't have a job right now, although I'm a qualified teacher and journalist with a master's. So if you can help me find work in Stockholm, or remotely anywhere, let me know.
[By this I mean you have a job to offer me, or you have contacts you can talk to who have work. I'm not looking for tips on how to find work]
Hi, this is my looking for work post. I'm based in Stockholm, Sweden, and could work remotely.
I have a Swedish teaching certification for ages 10-18 in social sciences and history. I also have a masters in communication, with focus on social media. I have 14 years as a news reporter and producer at Swedish public radio.
I also do editing, Swedish-English translation, and I've worked in libraries and as a researcher.
Because of the unemployment money I currently get, I can't work freelance.
@busycrying it's really tough. I'm also applying for jobs. The fact everyone wants experience means you feel forced to work for free somewhere just to get that. Or share work on social media as an entrepreneur, which is the same thing I guess.
Journalist, teacher, Londoner, Stockholmer. Mostly thinking and writing about autism, ADHD and related disability issues. Profile image description: me sprinkling salt onto roasted tofu. Background image description: packets of ramen on shop shelves.
