@aral@kde Here some before screenshots of Kate and Dolphin. I should probably add that to my blog post. My patch is 200 lines long and I'm impressed how much this change the look.
@aral Unfortunately you will have an hard time finding an open source company not selling their tech to the defense industry/police... They are often the most interested in this sort of technology and then you already have trouble to pay your employees you don't have the privileged to be picky. Source I have worked in an open source company and I'm familiar with the business model of a a few others.
Arianna library view got some nice improvements today on my way back home after #FOSDEM. There is now a global search bar and the extraction of series and book genres is now way better.
Interesting github broke all the checksums of their tags because they wanted to save 2% CPU time while making git archive creation 17% slower for everyone else instead of just caching the release archive a bit longer... https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34587884
Btw if someone is interested, I will try to mentor for Season of KDE (https://season.kde.org/) someone to add UI test and improve the accessibility of Tokodon. This would be based on https://apachelog.wordpress.com/2022/12/14/selenium-at-spi-gui-testing/ and could be a good occasion for someone who wants to get involved in KDE and who might want to get some extra help to get started ;)
