@lapin @Vidmastereon I thought the reason was to protect the regional japanese version of the game. Can't give us japanese subs because it'll cannibalize the japanese games market because steam has all those fancy steam sales. (This was before more japanese people adopted steam.) Well that was the explanation I heard anyways.
It's akin to how english anime Blu-rays don't let you remove subtitles if you're using jp dub. They don't want japanese people reverse importing the western blu-ray which costs a lot less than the original japanese blu-ray.

The idea of installing an implant with a lithium ion battery in the head also horrifies me.
Proprietary implants also seems like such a horrible idea your bionic eyes go end of service because the company making them went bankrupt.

@Giganova8 @rlier23 @SNEK playing MMO's as a kid was a net good imo. Getting Catfished on runescape/maplestory or getting scammed a bunch of gold/mesos legitimately taught you true valuable lessons imo.
Anyone else remember being told to always use a avatar (not your real face), a handle (not your real name).
They hate the image avatar users because they hate the fact that you refuse to give up your dividing wall. So it's harder for them to doxx you and cancel/harass people you know.

@Moto_Chagatai at one point I was memeing about how yostar would have made an asmr of asuna ages ago if the seiyuu that played asuna didn't exponentially explode in popularity.
I was looking at it more as if you look at most of the asmrs Yostar sells for most BA characters they're usually from the smaller seiyuu in their lineup.
Unfortunately for yostar after they got Asuna recorded her seiyuu exploded in popularity post 86 and kind of ran off wild imo.

@Kyonko802 @Pikika at this point I think licensed music is a meme and if you wanted to remake the game like here it'll never be the intended experience because of the changed music. It kills your games ability to be advertised by content creators and it makes it more annoying. Better off just commissioning artists for songs that you'll own instead.

They had an first anniversary raid boss that had YouTube's content id system flag the first 5 seconds of the instrumental.
