@MeBigbrain @hazlin this is why I refuse to implant electronics despite being blind in one eye.
The price for the surgery is far too cheap for there to not be a caveat to it.

@Meemoo @MeBigbrain @hazlin ngl I find neuralink horrifying we already see the first user of it cursed by a forbidden fruit since his implant basically failed due to the wires for it falling out. They refuse to give him the new implant potentially due to medical issues.
The idea of installing an implant with a lithium ion battery in the head also horrifies me.
Proprietary implants also seems like such a horrible idea your bionic eyes go end of service because the company making them went bankrupt.
Anyone else think back to deus ex and deus ex human revolution when it comes to implants?
Deus ex I have mechanical implants but I can be told a password to explode.
Deus ex human revolution we hack your implant and make you chimp out.

@Spooke @MeBigbrain @hazlin tying your very being's functionality to other people just sounds like a bad idea.
People say banks being able to storm your house and take everything if you don't pay your loan is bad.
Now imagine if it was a private company controlling your ability to see/hear things.
