@WashedOutGundamPilot @Victor_Emmanuel @RatPoster Isn't that the whole concept of a Vtuber, though? Cute girl with the right personality type lets guys experience bf/gf banter, interaction, and playfulness, either affecting or naturally falling into one of the more desirable girl archetypes.

@WashedOutGundamPilot @justnormalkorean "Mexican Arab" is one of those things that I wouldn't think of in a century, but is inarguably an accurate descriptor.

@WashedOutGundamPilot The rapid advancements of Ukrainian field homosexuality technology are something to behold.

@WashedOutGundamPilot 2016 MAGA energy was the synthesis of anonymous imageboard weebs and energetic boomers. The former provided knowledge on how the political system really works, political memes forged in the crucible of unranked imageboard threads that must constantly compete for engagement, and the tech-savviness required to navigate the uncensored internet. The latter provided boots on the ground, offered men on the inside of lower party roles, and allowed for meme saturation on Facebook.
TPTB have worked overtime to try to transition things back to the old status quo of a bunch of pretentious mischling Polisci grads writing blog articles about "the need to build a bench", but noble warriors like your uncle are fighting every day to ensure that they do not succeed.

@Stagg_3751 @WashedOutGundamPilot @Will2Power Weeb is the only aesthetic for women left that is both culturally mainstream and not hideous. The tradwife thing is growing on the tiktok zoomers, but for now I think it's limited to guys in various backwoods religious groups that keep their pimp hands strong.

@Stagg_3751 @WashedOutGundamPilot @Will2Power I dunno, AoT has some vibes
it was getting called fascist all throughout 2016

@WashedOutGundamPilot @DW2 @Shadowman311 South Africa is the way it is because the U.S. and the USSR united to overthrow the rightful (White) government, and, ever since, the U.S. has provided both infinity gibs and the promise of military intervention should anything threaten to remove the 'rainbow nation' from power.
The U.S. cannot be kept from collapse by the same means, because there is no much larger nation to keep the regime in power through foreign aid and military force.

@WashedOutGundamPilot The various edgy streamers that all of a sudden became hardline anti-Trump around 2018 are definitely a glowie op; someone knocked on their door and told them they could end up like Ricky Vaughn did if they didn't help 'fracture dissident networks'.
BAP, I think, is "genuine" in what he is, but what that is isn't very good or useful. He sees the nationalist right as a vehicle for his weird little clique of mischling polisci majors, and he (along with many others) has misremembered 2016 in a way that aggrandizes himself and his groupchat friends while downplaying the imageboard hivemind responsible for everything cool or effective.

@WashedOutGundamPilot It's a race against time to find deepfake technology that will keep her young forever before she visibly ages past forty and a generation of women is psychologically obliterated.

@MoeBritannica The two types of guy:

> Would enjoy the experience of her not being washed

@DEERBLOOD @rlier23 @WashedOutGundamPilot MTF is for guys who want to kill themselves but aren't bold enough to do so in the direct way. It's guys who have done bad things, or just wasted their lives, and want to start over as something other than what they are - this is also why they LARP as children or teenagers. The short-term fuel for it is porn - generally stems from a humiliation fetish and mutates from there, lots of common causes between the two driving impulses.
FTM is a bog-standard social contagion. The TV talks about it, the computer talks about it, the teacher talks about it, and it cuts through them like crazy. The young ones just want to please their adult authority figures (also true of male child trannies); the older ones equate it with social capital within their group. Some do it for fetish reasons but that's mostly played up by people who don't want to acknowledge that men and women are different.
-
We talk about ratios, but look in the other direction on this one. 10x more likes than replies. Every libtard on the planet has been worked up into a frenzy over this, and there are still more unambiguous supporters than replies - positive and negative combined.

At this point, I have to believe that Randhawa's campaign is either a trolling campaign by some very overconfident yids, or an agitprop campaign that we have somehow organized.

@SuperSnekFriend @WashedOutGundamPilot @Shadowman311 How many guys is that, roughly, and can any of them code? One high-agency guy who knows the basics and has the autistic motivation necessary could probably pull off a good enough tech demo for a viral Youtube video, the same way that Gatebox thing became r9k's obsession eight years ago.
I know /mlp/ (of all fucking places) has scraped voice and pose data of their horse waifus and worked towards something. There's hours more training data of vtubers, complete with pose-estimation. Someone with the time and 'tism, plus a moderate amount of compute money, could, I think, train a multimodal transformer to map game footage to Vtuber words, poses, and voice outputs. Maybe a bit pie in the sky, but there is definitely low-hanging fruit that could be picked to attract talent, and no shortage of clever young men who could use something technical to do.
-
@SuperSnekFriend @WashedOutGundamPilot @Shadowman311 Have to imagine the robotics side is a bit of a dead-end, on the basis that smooth, elegant robotic manipulation required to cook/navigate a house/etcetera is already a gold-standard set by multiple multibillion dollar corporations, many of which have been able to justify maintaining teams of competent White guys on the basis of their importance to the company.
Code, on the other hand, is pretty open - the handful of companies trying to cash in on the niche are policed so heavily by their HR harridans that there's no competition in the space at all, and, accordingly, there's a lot that could be done with relatively small teams and relatively little funding, which could then be capitalized on to get more people and some crypto donations (because you know there are autists that'd put up the money). Any major successes?
-
@SuperSnekFriend @WashedOutGundamPilot @Shadowman311 That's a shame. The loop of "this idea is cool" -> "it resonates with me too" -> "here's a prototype" -> "here's a polished iteration on that prototype", all by different anons, all in a series of threads, is both amazing and vital. It's what makes imageboards magic. The energy of HWNDU is the key to the future - just random guys collaborating towards an ends, never knowing each others' names, maybe bringing a few local friends that are into the same kind of thing.
Still, you'd expect one anon to have at some task or another and return with results, even if he's all alone. What's the caliber of the things that did get done?
-
@SuperSnekFriend @WashedOutGundamPilot @Shadowman311 > If anything of deep importance can certainly be said about /robowaifu/, the board did not devolve into mere /r9k/-tier incel bs and has helped teach and establish several anons with the basics of STEM that can be and probably has been used in real life.
Teaching young guys functional, useful STEM stuff is a valuable service, and something a lot of autistic imageboard projects have in common. Maybe I am an optimist, but I like to think at least one or two YC alums have resulted from that teenagers getting into drone prototypes for HWNDU shenanigans and that kind of thing.
The popularity of Emmy the Robot definitely seems to have tken root there. Most threads seem to be physical or other long-term stuff, which is interesting but a bit of a shame - some threads on chatbots alone, mostly OOTB stuff, and I think you need multimodality for anything interesting on that front. One on voice synthesis, which I'll read, but they really would benefit from targeting specific things that nobody big is going for, and tying together general-purpose systems from big names rather than trying to roll their own fundamental stuff re: robotics, language-modeling, etcetera. 'Build an AI Vtuber' has no physical barrier to entry for contributions, stronger potential for outputs with broad appeal early on, and, given that it entails linking movement, voice, and text, it amounts to a fully-contained subtask towards their ultimate goal - once you've got those output heads working together, you can integrate it into a simulator fairly smoothly, and then try to set something up so that it can perform physical tasks - that would still be tricky, but it would be grounded in a working system, and it would make clear the need for a cohesive system. It's far easier to take and expand an MVP than to unify multiple disparate threads, especially when the goal is a single coherent system.
Probably my PM / business guy voice is showing here. If the guy in pic related scraped a bunch of Vtuber streams, he could have a quick, entertaining MVP by feeding in the chat interactions. From there, add an output head for pose, and you've got something that will respond to comments with body language and text in real time. Adding real-time voice output is tricky (famously so), but you'd have a universal base at that point that many anons could experiment with and show results from.
-
@af2 @WashedOutGundamPilot Is it really a common thing for them? I know there was one troon that tried it, but he failed miserably because troonvoice is the most grating thing in existence and you can't fake a female personality.
Probably there are one or two nice 40-something Japanese women doing it as a means of social interaction, but I don't think many of the insufferable denizens of America's overweight 30+ childless woman class are capable of faking likeability for extended periods of time. I did hear about that one slag (I think she had a mouse avatar), but she lost any popularity she had when it came out that she was a cheater.

> "Oh boy, even the Germans are telling us to vote for him! Those clever fellows never go wrong!"

@WashedOutGundamPilot @haberdasher @JedKron1248 Every functional civilization is built around pairing that autist guy who loves making watches up with a cute but slightly awkward girl who will be glad for a life where she's never lonely and doesn't have to work. A new generation of tinkers is produced, the watchmaker becomes invested in society, gaining an incentive to use his skills for the common good when asked, and his wife becomes a mother instead of a spiteful leftover woman.
There are going to be huge downstream genetic consequences of an entire generation of that kind of guy getting filtered out. They're happy enough just building working miniature replicas of unbuilt prototype jets, but they don't pursue marriage unless society facilitates that, and it's not doing so. Going to be hard for our grandkids to hire chemical engineers.
