@malakai@the.usualsuspects.lol I never said there wasn't division amongst the cartel. These are still power-hungry, corrupt, megalomaniacal personalities. They will, of course, thirst for power and control and prominence internally within their own microcosm.
It seems almost all the instances run by developers of Fediverse software are blocked, which should raise questions.I'm being completely serious and unironic here: this is because these blocklists, and #fediblock in general, are terrorist tactics created and utilized by Mastodon (collectively) in order to sabotage and destroy the wider Fediverse which Mastodon does not have market-share nor ideological control over.
Mastodon hates the Fediverse---Mastodon wants monopoly over the entire network and wants it to all just be "Mastodon". Mastodon consistently refuses to even refer to the wider network or use terms like "Fediverse".
@lain@lain.com I like how the Golden Gate Bridge is prominently depicted in the background, as Obama Fingers are a classic San Francisco staple going back to the city's heddy days as a thriving port city during the California Gold Rush and American Westward Expansion era.
@gray@ryona.agency That's a rarity these days! I'm surprised the T and P models lack this, especially the P models as they're marketed as "workstations".
@gray@ryona.agency Wise. I'm really holding out for 16th gen Intel or some later Zen 5/6 chips before upgrading devices. I don't need more power anymore, I desire better efficiency and longer battery life. Probably another 2--3 years before I end up changing machines.
@gray@ryona.agency Yeah, AMD has consistently been better than Intel the last decade or something. Much better thermals. These upcoming Zens and Intels are going to be bringing like Gen 1 Apple Silicon levels of efficiency and battery life to x86 though. Going to be phenomenal to have a little Linux laptop that can last 12+ hours without having to watch the battery. Right now mine only really lasts about 5 hours.
@gray@ryona.agency I think it widely depends on the Distro. I've never had trouble with Fedora or openSUSE. I've occasionally had difficulty with Debian. The X13s are nice. I really want a 13" laptop next time. I love my X230 size/form factor/everything about it. My T14 is ever so slightly too big.
@gray@ryona.agency The 14 inch isn't bad, it's still nice. I also just prefer smaller devices. I really miss netbooks. I'm kinda interested in the Lichee Console 4A. Will probably buy it just to play around with it.
Don't understand people who want/prefer these 16 inch devices or larger, even.
Thinking of setting up my own web server VM on our physical server so that we can be autonomous/protected from if our partner group's systems fail (which they have failed, they are in a failed state as we speak, and the only real reason we aren't down right now is because we have enough stuff setup on our own without using their infrastructure).
@coolboymew@shitposter.club Accusing someone of "making [you] look dumb" is usually what someone who is actually dumb and who has made themselves look dumb would ledge.
