gray (gray@ryona.agency)'s status on Sunday, 10-Sep-2023 18:09:37 JST gray @adiz Me neither. I almost got an 11 inch Dell laptop instead. I just wish they weren't stuck with a 768 display.
I haven't seen that Lichee Console. If it comes in around $300 I might go for it too.Machismo repeated this. -

I also just prefer smaller devices. I really miss netbooks. I'm kinda interested in the Lichee Console 4A. Will probably buy it just to play around with it.
Don't understand people who want/prefer these 16 inch devices or larger, even. -
gray (gray@ryona.agency)'s status on Sunday, 10-Sep-2023 18:09:39 JST gray @adiz I'll be interested to see how much I like the 14 inch. I usually go for smaller laptops like a 13 inch. -

I've never had trouble with Fedora or openSUSE. I've occasionally had difficulty with Debian. The X13s are nice. I really want a 13" laptop next time. I love my X230 size/form factor/everything about it. My T14 is ever so slightly too big.

gray (gray@ryona.agency)'s status on Sunday, 10-Sep-2023 18:09:41 JST gray @adiz I'm going to be keeping an eye ARM for the future too. Right now it doesn't seem to get much love from Linux but I'm hoping in the future it'll be a bit more general purpose.
I almost pulled the trigger on a X13s but it seems like its still a pain in the ass to get good Linux support. -
gray (gray@ryona.agency)'s status on Sunday, 10-Sep-2023 18:09:42 JST gray @adiz Everything I saw said the current gen Zens are cooler and more efficient than intel.
I just figured it was time to move on from the x250. -

Much better thermals. These upcoming Zens and Intels are going to be bringing like Gen 1 Apple Silicon levels of efficiency and battery life to x86 though. Going to be phenomenal to have a little Linux laptop that can last 12+ hours without having to watch the battery. Right now mine only really lasts about 5 hours.

I'm really holding out for 16th gen Intel or some later Zen 5/6 chips before upgrading devices. I don't need more power anymore, I desire better efficiency and longer battery life. Probably another 2--3 years before I end up changing machines.

gray (gray@ryona.agency)'s status on Sunday, 10-Sep-2023 18:09:44 JST gray @adiz It’s what sold me on the L series. I figured I’d get it with the lowest RAM and SSD and upgrade them as soon as I got it. Put the money into a better CPU and the top end screen. -
