People got married when women hit puberty back then and life expectancies were shorter. Waiting until 18 would be over half your life.

But I’m not arguing that she was 9yo. I’ve always said that she was 19 based on historical events.

Any hadith of herself claiming so is her repeating a false claim. She didn’t know her age and they didn’t have calendars at that time.

Hadith just means someone said a thing. Her age is not an islamic matter, that’s not to say AOC is irrelevant; stating your age is not an islamic matter.
