@LostShakerOfSalt@theorytoe@lonestarr@MMS21@andreas It really depends. The scholars are divided on this. Ultraconservatives say that the Hadith is true and that he did marry Aisha when she was 6 and and consummated at 9 but defend it by saying that it was a very common practice in that time; which is true; in those times child marriage was very common in all regions. Liberal muslims however seek to disprove this and say that it was false fabrication made to give Muhammed a bad name and that it was done by Hisham ibn Urwa.
People got married when women hit puberty back then and life expectancies were shorter. Waiting until 18 would be over half your life.
But I’m not arguing that she was 9yo. I’ve always said that she was 19 based on historical events.
Any hadith of herself claiming so is her repeating a false claim. She didn’t know her age and they didn’t have calendars at that time.
Hadith just means someone said a thing. Her age is not an islamic matter, that’s not to say AOC is irrelevant; stating your age is not an islamic matter.
Yes but not that young, they married when they're older like 13 or more. Even so, the marriage would be consummated at older age.
>Any hadith of herself claiming so is her repeating a false claim. She didn’t know her age and they didn’t have calendars at that time.
People have calendar in the year 600, how dumb are you?
>Hadith just means someone said a thing. Her age is not an islamic matter, that’s not to say AOC is irrelevant; stating your age is not an islamic matter.
It's relevant, you know why? That means there's an argument for underage marriage, which has been a massive practice in the Islamic world compared to the Christian world.
Fucking records of Roman marriage? No one was insane enough to get married to 9 years old????
>The Arabs at that time didn’t. How dumb are you?
They fucking do, all civilizations have calendar you retard. The ancient people aren't as dumb as you do, when they have writing system they will absolutely have a calendar system. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pre-Islamic_Arabian_calendar
>Someone saying their age is not an islamic matter. Hadiths are a collection of quotes by important people in Islam. It is not a collection of all correct things. Even other hadiths are scrutinised, you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Wow there's definitely no implication about sexual matters with underage girl. Not a single thing being dismissed about that.
>Yes but not that young, they married when they're older like 13 or more. Even so, the marriage would be consummated at older age. Why do you believe that? >People have calendar in the year 600, how dumb are you? The Arabs at that time didn’t. How dumb are you? > It's relevant, you know why? It's a mystery of the faith, there's some deep dive by some thinkers that are far more intelligent than me but for most people they just need to understand that it's a mystery of God, They are all part of God, not one is superior to the other, All exist throughout the time and They all love you as Their best creation. The core message here is LOVE. Everyone can understand it, no one really need to do a deep dive into all the theological bickering to know that God loves you.
>Meanwhile the Quran makes it clear on the first page. How can you still criticise the Quran when you haven’t read a single page. You that if you did you’d disintegrate.
nigga nobody reads the bible and understands the trinity or what God really is. That is taught after by the church fathers.

@andreas@theorytoe@munir@LostShakerOfSalt@lonestarr@MMS21 the magisterium is highly regulated institution of the Catholic church, anyone entering it must have serious theological knowledge and experience for years, not anyone could enter. Do you think mistranslating things are easy? They had to check, recheck, rerecheck and do even more complicated step just to get a single thing written. About the books themselves, they all have names on them, try looking them up instead of playing Skyrim all day.
Right, people from Europe must have been so backward back then that they all believe in Jewish made stuff weren't they? White people must be hella dumb weren't they? I'm glad I didn't believe in any of what those people say. Odin actually made them stronger, that's why they managed to conquer America and establish many great empires.
@MK2boogaloo@theorytoe@munir@LostShakerOfSalt@lonestarr@MMS21 your catholic church has no grasp of the epistemological of a what makes a God a God if they base their terminology and spirituality upon the jewish religion (catch 22 if they deny all jewish phopecies then their religion is false if they affirm it then their fetishization of a non-divine messiah is apostasy). Sorry but theology is not a valid science if it lacks any scientific methodology to it. Less than skyrim.
what you're supposed to do is say how it isn't mistranslated. please don't act like the bible is perfect when we all know there are additions, redactions and mistranslated verses. there probably isn't a single page where this isn't true.

try pointing out something instead of telling retarded shit. Where do you live? Have you been living in a Muslim community before?
