I wouldn't say it's the easiest, I wouldn't recommend it to someone who never used linux before and can barely use a computer.

Back when I used ubuntu it worked just fine. I installed it on my dad's computer too and he happily used it for ages until he had to use I don't remember what kinda bullshit that only ran on windows (I failed to make it run under wine). I think I moved to debian next.

A lot of programs are just not perfect, I've gotten quite used to that and the best option is to just use what sucks in a way you can find acceptable.
Yeah your issues with apt are not wrong or anything but personally it's just not problems that give me issues.
At the moment I'm using artix though and I miss how simple it is to just clean shit with apt, removing orphan and cleaning up with pacman is a bit silly but an alias can solve the issue so, meh.

Sometimes I'm tempted to try "harder" distros but there's many things I wanna learn and I feel like a new distro wouldn't be as interesting for me compared to the other things, and my free time isn't as much as I'd like so I should have priorities.

I won't deny that ubuntu was the first linux distro I found when I was like... 16 maybe? And I did start with that. Man the default UI got so much worse.
