@Pnakp makes complete sense to me. now this would be for self-defence. a .45 would be great on my hip if in the woods and a bear approaches (i'm sure the 9mm would just bounce off him) but definitely matters not if you can't hit the target. man i should start a list of hilarious hollywood action stunts.

@Iamthebammbamm i'd go more with pistols are for when my rifle isn't working properly (jammed, fell down/runs dry) or when i don't have the rifle handy.

i heard a story once. Buddy meets his friend and sees he's got a pistol on his hip then asks him "woah, why do you have that pistol? expecting trouble" and Buddy responds "no, if i was expecting trouble, i'd be carrying a rifle"

gotta be soldiers out there that can answer this one. what is with games and movies where ppl are shooting with a pistol in each hand? i'm a noob so i can't comment but i see that as feigning double the firepower at the cost of all one's accuracy. i see having the 2nd pistol as a backup in case my primary jams/falls/runs dry.

am i correct that "double pistols" is just theatre or am i missing something?

just vivaldi lately has been causing NAS to bug out. all of a sudden the screen effs around, like goes all white with funky boxes, the page shows a "file error" kind of page but with a dead bird in it, sometimes the columns (home, notifications, fedi) just look all out of place. obv a me only issue so seems its the browser. weird too, just started happening lately.

ugh vivaldi is messing around. any awesome browsers y'all recommend?

it requires a safe balance. when one side gets too large, it requires rebalancing else you get what we have today, overbearing gov't regulation all under the strings of laissez faire business. both are extremes on the same spectrum.
