@crunklord420 In the future, everyone will rap in front of a crowd for 15 seconds.

I actually forgot to season this chicken I just cooked. Now my racism card is suspended for a week. :niggaweary:

@bot @RustyCrab @a7 People forget how long Google has been around. There was a point where Google was competing with then-giant Yahoo, and Yahoo had individual people rating and categorizing every web page submitted to the index. The Internet really was small when Google made their Pagelink algorithm.
Search results started degrading in the mid-2010s from what I saw. It seemed like the old index disappeared; there's some sites I KNOW were indexed since the late 90s that wouldn't be returned any more. Then they ditched the old version of the cache.
Around the same time you saw the articles about the massive, expensive data centers Google was running. The Web had exploded, the Great Recession had hit their revenues, and even though they were still profitable they were clearly feeling the operating costs.
Add in the politically-motivated censorship they put in place since roughly 2018, and the "trusted sources" bullshit they pulled in 2020, and you get a smaller subset of the web it's willing to search. I think they were so ready to do those things because they were already doing it to cut costs. The political motivation was just gravy.

@crunklord420 Hold up.
Someone's trying to scam you.
-
@crunklord420 The contrast between the horrific monstrosity and the old expert guy he introduced, is stark.

@crunklord420 go cheer on ya boy

@Hoss @KaiserKitty @crunklord420 I haven't seen anything about that. But 2 minutes after Josh posted the link during MATI, someone did do a $10k donation while he was still talking about it.
-
@crunklord420 And that's without the big crypto donors he allegedly got pre-pledges from.
TBH I expected a huge outpour, this is the first time in like 8 years he could collect money through normie means. Plus it's been a 2 year buildup with site-wide attacks, spreading frustration across an often-siloed userbase.
I hope we get a salt mining thread out of it, once the news hits Twitter.
-
@crunklord420 @coolboymew @Moon Sounds like someone's just jealous of Lil Jew's flow.
-
@crunklord420 @NonPlayableClown Maybe that's an addition I didn't notice, the OG sure didn't seem to have that. I got PTSD from being save locked without enough exp to beat a story mission.
-
@crunklord420 @NonPlayableClown I don't remember getting them? I would cycle around the map and get maybe 1, everything else was story battles and the Missions from the Inn.
-
@NonPlayableClown @crunklord420 Yes, but there isn't a really good way to grind in it. You don't get infinite random encounters like other FF games.
Basically you're supposed to craft a well-rounded team, use them enough so they're trained up, heavily use Missions to get inactive members XP, etc. And you can still screw yourself over if you don't plan properly. Like, a story battle might start you out far from the enemies, who all do ranged damage, and you don't have enough ranged damage to kill them or mobility to get close before they cast.
You don't need to revive everyone (though I do the same thing). If you lose a new member but clear a hard battle, it might be best to let them go. But DO have multiple saves in case you need to go back a few missions and re-prioritize your party.

@scatPolice @crunklord420 Your phone is optimized to play phone games, not to be a real computer running real software.

@Zerglingman @r000t @graf @sickburnbro @vic @Nudhul Inner City School Robotics Club members. Future engineers.

@Nudhul @r000t @graf @sickburnbro @vic Wait until the Thought Police find out what kind of people are already ruining their robot plans.
-
@georgia "was"? It's still live. And it's arguably doing more to "Protect The Stack" right now than the EFF did before they dropped that campaign.
-
@georgia Not the only thing. They backed down on defending KF when the Cloudflare shit happened.
-
@koimoa @PurpCat Because the migrations are politically motivated, not feature-motivated.
Everyone likes Big Platform, but certain people don't like the culture or get censored. Alternative A opens its doors, and the first people motivated to go there are those people, who instantly turn their sub-culture into the main site culture simply by being the first large numbers.
People jumped to Bsky because they didn't like Elon Musk's politics, not because it had a better UI or feature set.
-
@crunklord420 I get that too, but it's gaming streams with 6 views. You'd think their algorithm could figure out what games I like and recommend those, but instead it's just ANY game with single digit views.
I don't know what triggered this and our AI overlords won't tell me.
