@grips You start by not using the Internet and years later you end up being adopted by boomers in the middle of nowhere that teach you how to blow up the Georgia Guidestones.
@sun@anemone@lain Yes people will buy it. It will mostly be fanboys that don't care about the quality of the game and just want some RPG slop. Just like Bethesda fans. Some of the original fans went away before DA2 and most of them are gone since DA2.
It's not even about that the game contains a lot of LGBT signalling, the first game did so too. It had lesbian/gay/bisexual relationships and characters talked about that almost all the time. It's about the very bad gameplay and story that became the norm in the last decade or so.
You are not the target audience, neither is the original DAO/DA2 fan.
@dj@i@cvnt@p@ins0mniak@Owl@NonPlayableClown Forking will never fix anything. You will create the Misskey situation where a bunch of people are unhappy with upstream and created a bunch of incompatible forks that die on a quarterly basis.
@sysrq@teto@cvnt@MK2boogaloo@mint Yeah, at least twice. He had a habit talking to the not-so-obvious trannies and after he found out. He usually had an episode about how all trannies are satanic for a while and then checked on their accounts for some time while still subposting about how they all should die.
@cvnt@teto@MK2boogaloo@sysrq@mint Hard to tell. He didn't talk to you and stalk your account for a month before having a mental breakdown over the realization.
@mint@Deiru@marcan There are three possibilities I see why it happened: 1. some software export sanction with a stupid interpretation 2. since crypto is considered a weapon and the US government uses Linux, the government might have forced the removal under some undisclosable rule 3. Linus, Greg or some LF sponsors just wanted the devs gone
@ins0mniak@cvnt@pwm@transgrammaractivist@Owl@dj@NonPlayableClown@mint I wish there was more OS support for the pis. Debian is basically all you can get that works ootb and most of the distributions don't packge the configuration utils for the pis anyway so good luck configuring the eeprom. One would think that the most prevalent sbc would have great OS support, but no.
@newt Yeah, I know about that. There was also a somewhat big drama in FreeBSD about GamerGate I think. Although I don't like the idea of CoCs, FreeBSD at least did not go beyond that and I do not see major shenanigans in it's community every few months like it is on the Linux side. Probably because it isn't as popular and big enough for the corporate sponsors to poison it with their ideology.
