@mint I'm having trouble parsing this? Are you talking about the fostoddon admin segfault? The segfault@fosstodon.org has few posts none of which even federated here.

There you go.

Waiting for the Drew "BadTake" DeVault loli question thread.
-
The proprietarization of Bitwarden has at least one benefit. I can uninstall podman from one of my servers.
-
On the other hand, I don't have any other good alternatives to recommend to others that are hosted online. Keepass isn't an option for normies, because it's to confusing and keeping it synced can be annoying.

@lewdthewides @cow @tadano @mint BuyVM has historically responded to DMCAs for content hosted in the US locations. The reasons why the RIAA is specifically naming the Luxembourg location is because the DMCA has no grounds there. They can't do anything without dealing with local laws.

@SuperDicq Just redirect that domain to his KF thread. Less time spent on a worthless human being like him.
-
@david @krafter I suggest taking the :francisco: pill for cheap VPS providers. The 99.something% uptime is a real thing they guarantee.
-
@dcc @Diceyocean @realman543 It's not like you have many choices now for something that is easy to use. Ubuntu sucks, so does Debian and Mint has some quirks. OpenSUSE hates half of its users and that's about it.
-
@mischievoustomato @Diceyocean @dcc @realman543 After the community cleansing I don't trust it at all as a long term solution. Not to mention how many things are broken simply broken in the distro.
-
@matrix @graf It's even better here. You can still interact, they just won't see it.

@dcc @Saphiroth @getimiskon @nyanide There's one key difference between both of you and me. I'm dumb.

This is the most Reddist-esque error page imaginable.
Hello there Chud, you've been blocked by our network security. Please turn off your VPN, so we can provide a safe space for Redditors like you.
-
@Saphiroth @getimiskon I don't have to deal with none of that as it is a whitelisted server. Setting it up was a matter of installing FreeBSD, stealing an rc script from the forums, slightly modifying the rc script and copying the world data from a VPS. 2 hours at most.

Hosting the Minecraft server for my friends on my laptop was a mistake.

@pomstan @mint The whole complain to the registrar/TLD owner is a mixed bag. Your email usually stays in an inbox for days before someone even reads it. Emailing the host providers is much faster and they usually enforce their own policies. I've had luck with Namecheap and Porkbun as registars and with Verisign and PIR as TLD owners. The rest is meh.

@mint

Completely unrelated, but they are a shitty German registrar. I had to deal with them two times at work regarding phishing and both times they just replied with "Contact domain owner". Gee, what a great way to alert the phishing campaign owners, if I could even contact them with the domain privacy enabled.
