It's real

@graf they need to just be like my mom and roast a large shank of meat on Sunday nights, which then is processed into various dishes throughout the work week
-
@graf it goes like
she cooks that dish she autistically likes -> "ugh I don't know what I want but I don't want to make that one thing cuz I made it so much" -> she settles on her favorite takeout spot and wants me to order from there 1/2 the time -> when she's not falling back on takeout, she wants to experiment with some complicated dish she doesn't know how to make
Had this exact sequence play out with multiple women over multiple years and haven't seen it pass here

@coin I'm just speaking in terms of the last year or so, it's been about that long it seems like. We ended up not seeing eye to eye because she was too into astrology and witchcraft things, among other reasons. But otherwise this has been my recent times experience

I'm not injured but my vehicle is certainly unwell and I just had to spend thousands and months of time having it repaired already. It's probably a sign that I need to stop being a wagie and go back to NEET tbh

Just came into work and they met me at the door with a sheet telling me I got a $1 raise

@DW2 Wisconsin still has 7.25 minimum wage and I know people still getting hired for $11-12/hr. I was still under the impression that $15/hr was good when I re-entered the workforce last year, until I examined how bad inflation had actually gotten.
The last job I'd worked before in 2017 for about $13/hr has gone up to about $21/hr in 2023 to try and match inflation. But not every business is capable of this, and most of the long-term employees have already capped out on raises.
Meaning that 18 year old broccolizoomers are earning more day 1 than someone who's committed decades to any particular company.
I, for one, am very confident in America's ability to survive for many years to come.

@Ghislaine @PunishedD @WashedOutGundamPilot he's a DSA chapocel so he's probably flashed open his trenchcoat at a communist literature reading party

Had a phone call with a good gentleman from the internet, a man of many talents. I'm thinking he and I might become "sober buddies" and help each other stay away from alcohol so that we might not produce concerning internet livestreams any longer. Just be full of more life, laughs and joy.

Looks like I'll be able to get my hands on a replacement engine for about $1500 so if that's the worst of it, I'll be alright
