Somehow the state of desktop linux was better in 2010's than today. It's too fragmented and extremely opinionated in all the worst ways these days. With each year I feel as if I am going through a downgrade whenever I install a new version of any distro. -

hrast (dieulast@cawfee.club)'s status on Wednesday, 24-May-2023 01:31:37 JST hrast @Zerglingman @MK2boogaloo @ins0mniak @mia @sysrq For ubuntu and its derivatives, LTS release means that you'll use old shit, new releases are broken because it ships old and new packages all mixed up.
It's a shame because I find xubuntu to be, UI-wise, the ultimate it just werks setup for regular users. -

It can be improved. In fighting games it has a much bigger impact, for reactions we humans are specialized for audio cues which has like 1/2 of RT response.
Not to mention that I have a time perception of a tree, so as soon as I get gears spinning in my head it's over, you can flashbang me and I'll be like this: -

>the concept of "I" seems different from language usage
It's more nuanced than that, it varies from person to person. It relies on sense of self, empathy and social cognition. Mentally compare someone who self-inserts as every character with a narrator and you'll see the difference.
>where do whales and dolphins fall?
The esteemed scholars of Fediverse will agree that whales are surely a fish.
