@mint@Tadano@skylar@p funny enough, it was your fba bot that I first noticed the 500 errors. The errors when away when I set up a test instance backed by a nvme drive using our database backup
@p@Tadano@skylar I've been pruning objects a couple times a year, and I haven't had any problems. The only problem so far that did manifest was we get 500 errors when opening some user profiles, but that could also be caused by the query trying to access data that's outside the LVM cache, and as others said, Frantech's block storage is horrible with random reads. I can see the query timing out after 15 seconds and constantly retrying as long as the profile is being viewed
Maybe I started this instance after some major bug with object pruning was fixed, so that's why I never had problems
I will be taking down my nitter instance nitter.uknow.moe in a couple hours. If anyone was using my instance in one of their rewrite MRFs, please remove it
I don't feel like answering questions to Virmach when being hammered by chinese bot farms peaks their suspicion
@animeirl@i@vriska@mint@meso Interesting. I had to downgrade back to elixir 1.14 when this happened to me, but I didn't try truncating the config. But it doesn't appear that support for 1.15 has been merged into develop yet?
@selzero@Sui@Lightfighter too much empathy will have negative consequences for everyone. Our housing is limited, our social services are limited, and that isn't going to get better anytime soon because democracy ensures we're gonna be forever run by thieves and morons. I just don't believe that citizens should take on hardships due to people that shouldn't be here. Economic refugees are not eligible for asylum
