So... I tried this.

There was a girl in uni I sparred with. She made an effort. She had trouble spotting openings but she was a tough little Afrikaner.

I'm pretty sure the core isn't a rape fantasy so much as a "he gets what he wants" fantasy. Confidence is a proxy for competence, and competent men have spare to share. The GAZE is imploding because management like this doesn't get results *besides* internal suppression. The initial failure of the Ukraine operation and sanctions to cripple Russia dramatically shook the confidence of the competent "go along get along" pseudo patriotic types in the spook agencies, and the continued failure is shattering the confidence of the rest of the competent bureaucrat collaborators. They're going to either speak-up/act-out and be removed from the system, or they'll remove themselves from the sinking ship.

"The future is" not a true ubiquitous empty-egg-carton panopticon, that's just for a moment in time. We're cresting if not fully over the civilizational stability peak, the future is a whole rollercoaster of organization cannibalization possibilities. :0100:

In BC, Canada, not sure about other provinces, there is "Social Studies" (domestic history) and "[World] History".

I think the USA was similar with "Civics" for domestic history some years ago, though they seem to be changing conventions.

That's a good point. Actually there've been some nice marriageable age women at small bookstores in my region, different situation than a library...

But yeah, there's smaller towns in my region with libraries I haven't been to, I think I'll test that in the winter months. Right now is beach/camping season :0000:

I used to think this was sensible, but most of the books I want to read I can find on archive.org . Books I'd read that are still under copyright are... Very niche. I got a weird look the last time I asked the librarian to transfer in "Biohackers" so I could reread it.

Honestly the few women I did meet at the library and talk to are possibly criminally insane, so I no longer consider the library the ideal place to find an intellectually compatible mate...

Similarly, from the era when most games were made by developers primarily for themselves, true *simulators* are a fantastically good facsimile for whatever you want more practice in.

There are other great potentials with the electronic mediums... But mass market productions are coopted now just like music and film.

What can I say? Either you can play Star Control 2 and understand what there is to get out of it... Or not. Don't lump it with "Press F To Pay Respects".

  Tafl games (pronounced [tavl], also known as hnefatafl games) are a family of ancient Northern European strategy board games played on a checkered or latticed gameboard with two armies of uneven numbers. Most probably they are based upon the Roman game Ludus latrunculorum. Names of different variants of Tafl include Hnefatafl, Tablut, Tawlbwrdd, Brandubh, Ard Rí, and Alea Evangelii.
