@coolboymew@romin This show opens with a skeletal, necromantic demon lord staring down an overwhelming force bent on destroying him. He opts to reincarnate far into the future, then finds himself in the body of a seemingly powerless young boy in mortal danger. A bishoujo points a weapon at him, dies, and he raises her as a vampire, thinking she will be useful to him as a guide in this strange new world of technology.
@coolboymew@picandor It's only really a problem for seasonal viewing where anilist viewers have an expectation of being able to mark discrete airing blocks as "completed" in realtime.
People watching the shows after everything is out don't have to know how troubled the original release schedule was, in some cases the only hints are different OPEDs, like with episodes 24 and 25 of Code Geass which were originally aired 4 months late and the only thing that seemed off for me was that the last two episodes of the season had a new OP. This is also more-or-less reflected in how MAL/anilist/etc. have no problems with older shows being one entry even if they had large hiatuses in the middle, so long as they were fully released before MAL/anilist existed, but they absolutely insist on splitting newer entries with part 1/part 2 etc. and not merging them afterwards.
Years ago I put Gintama on hold as motivation for properly implementing cross-entry episode mappings in trackma and never got around to it :blobsad:
@coolboymew@picandor the episode numbering is a single contiguous block for Hataraku Maou-sama!! ( https://maousama.jp/story/ ) Third party sites will always try to wrangle this into their own cataloging format, just like anilist likes to create separate entries for recaps or OVAs that are officially identified as "episode 12.5" or whatever. Airing format autism has caused inconvenient and incorrect decisions in the past for anilist (e.g. https://anilist.co/forum/thread/9604/1 ) so I'd only use them as a data point for consensus, not an authority on any series cataloging.
@coolboymew 1ka: ane-zoned and it's her own fault 2no: really strong dere wave in the second half, first half tsun hurt her chances too much 3ku: suffering 4ba: full of good qualities, would have resigned herself to quiet suffering for the sake of her sisters 5ki: wasn't ever really interested in him in that way
@coolboymew@leyonhjelm@ElDeadKennedy It will never stop being funny to me that KDE ended up becoming as lightweight as XFCE without giving up the features. I'm currently on Sway because wlroots is the only thing that works with my combination of mixed-dpi multimonitor (RIP X11) and touchscreens mapped to, well, screens (RIP Gnome/KDE Waylands). It's still miserable for other reasons and I hope KDE sorts out a few things in the near future.
@coolboymew funnily enough I was updating things today
highlights: <building sway from source >There is no tracking information for the current branch. Please specify which branch you want to merge with. <huh that's odd >On branch STOP_CRASHING_MY_CLIENTS <ohhhhhhh
<hm, `apt update` is stupidly slow because it hits every list sequentially instead of doing all the http requests in parallel, I wonder if apt-fast solves that >https://github.com/ilikenwf/apt-fast/issues/179 <dammit why
