If democracy meant a damn thing to begin with I'd agree with you, honestly though it doesn't matter. Depends on the branch, I know that CoS did it as a jab at tax exemption for religions. They're legally a religion, even though they're agnostic and mostly subjective in beliefs. Fuck knows about the others though.

Literally does start with OT/jewish mythology, albeit a slightly bastardized version without Lilith etc. The book of relevations IIRC was judeo-christian in origins, so a bit more wiggle room on the ending.
