@aral I'm here, and I've committed to that move, but I do have the privilege to do that. A lot of people, for various reasons, don't have that and it's a lot harder to sell it to them by telling them that they're Nazis. I read quite a few accounts by black people who have found it harder going on the Fediverse than on Twitter. Other people will be cut off from vital services that for now are only on Twitter. If the services move, so will they. But the services won't follow them.

If you’re not a big organisation, you’d spend your time managing applications for funding rather than doing the things being funded (also open to being corrected, but that was my view from ‘inside the tent’). The good intent is there to fund OS, but with too much overhead.
