@aral the masses flock to entertainment sometimes to their detriment since Ancient Rome. Blaming people for doing what humans do is extremely unproductive. The truth is that there’s no viable alternative atm that provides entertainment without exploitation. And no OSS platforms are quite obviously not a real answer at this stage.

For examples a film grant In cinematography will be based on the cinematographic qualities of the project, not necessarily the story or anything else.

Taxpayers are generally very weary of how their money are spent and require assurances. This is why so many NGOs are focused on providing help with the bureaucracy 🫤
