It has lots of others to make up for it. But it's not even the point, do you open every link people post online if they don't provide any reason why you should do that, do you listen to every voice message you're getting sent?
Me? I don't — if someone sends me a link to YouTube, chances are very high that I would just ignore it, add "Look, here's a great analisys of what we've been discussing last weekend!"— now I very well might follow that link. So why are images different?
I'm not one of those people who run around and make everyone add a description to every image — but if people wan't me to see something, they should provide at least some reason. It's not necessary to describe the color of cat's nose — just note that it's a cat, not a pile of shit. If I'm in the mood to see a cat I might open that. It's not even always necessary when the post itself provides enough context, but it it's just an image without any description and any text — chances are that the one posting it doesn't care if I see it or not, so why should I?
And come on, this isn't the first time when this gets brought up. If you don't like the people who want to make "accessible environment" — okay, your right to do so, but if you don't like their reasoning — do it for a different reason, NOT doing it only because you don't like their reasons and/or you find these people stupid is even more stupid IMO 🤷 -

I keep telling people every time that it's not about people who can't see. I use tut TUI client to browse Fedi 30% of time and when there is no alt text, I usually don't have any incentive to open the image :marseyshrug:

I did and I still don't get the hate — random people on the internet can't rob you, you can just scroll past the ones you don't like.
There are of course con men (and women, which is even more common from what I've seen) who request help claiming they would use the money to help some people the can't disclaim any details about, but the community usually figures out these people sooner or later and gives them bad rep so they can no longer do it. In this case obviously there are those who have suffered — but it's not like it's me personally and I can still just scroll past it :marseyshrug:

Some conspiracy material here: Bocchi is in fact Yuno Gasai who went into hiding after the events of Mirai Nikki and now pretends to be into music and her awkward behaviour is due to being unable to act naturally in certain situations, not genuine autism 😱
I wonder if there is a doujinshi that explores this? 🤔 -

I had access to the Internet since I was a teenager — I don't think I turned out that bad 😅
True, it was very different compared to what we have on the Web today, but it was still vastly different from what I could see around me in real life. And I think Fedi is much closer to that than other social media 🤔

IMO GIMP has way more intuitive than Photoshop, it's just different and experienced Photoshop users often get frustrated that everything is done differently, but when you start using it with a clean slate — without Photoshop habits, it is much easier to navigate. -

Just compress it with 7z using a password — it's no replacement for proper cryptography, but it's good enough in a lot of cases.
You can also "encrypt" file names so no one would even know what's inside without knowing the password. -

Man, this instance has my nickname in its domain name, I can't imagine anything less anonymous. But I don't have to be anonymous to have an opinion that remaining in the hiding for thirty years is admirable, so what is your point?
I don't even think that attempting to maintain anonymity all the time and having no online presence at all is such a good strategy, if that is what you imply — it only raises unwanted suspicion. Maintaining a separate identity is a more reasonable strategy :marseythinkorino: -

m0xEE (m0xee@breloma.m0xee.net)'s status on Tuesday, 27-Feb-2024 17:29:14 JST m0xEE @kaia Wow, I have vastly different experience! PleromaFE actually feels rather lightweight in FF Mobile (I use Fennec, but I don't think they are different in this regard), it's just not as comfy. Tusky also works fine, but obviously it doesn't support Pleroma extensions like Tusky does.
Husky works fine most of the time, but it is like at some point something clicks deep inside it and it starts loading CPU like crazy. I have denied it permission to run in the background as I don't need notifications both from Tusky and from Husky, especially considering Tusky supports Unified Push and it's way more light on the battery. Probably that causes Husky to bug out, either that or it attempts to do something on other backend when it's unresponsive (my instance runs on very low-specced hardware by modern standards) and maybe it keeps retrying when it doesn't receive response in time.
I don't have any other ideas why this could be happening, I realize that it's a rather popular app and if it worked like that for everyone, no one would use it — so it has to be something very specific, I just don't get what :marseyhmmm: -
m0xEE (m0xee@breloma.m0xee.net)'s status on Tuesday, 27-Feb-2024 17:28:57 JST m0xEE Damn, what is wrong with Husky?
When I use it for long enough it makes my phone run noticeably hot — the chip is 72°, it never happens with any other application, it's like I'm playing a game :marseyfacepalm: -

And they do playfight sometimes — and not without injuries, it's extremely rare though when I had to tend to deep scratches, I prefer to clip their claws regularly to avoid that (and also scratching me of course 😸).
But most of the time they sleep curled next to each other or lick each other faces — they bite each other's necks sometimes, but I've been told they show playfulness this way. not aggression 😹 -
