it would not be the first time that a criterion has been a posteriori selected in such a way as to provide desired results. it's actually a pretty mundane rhetorical sleight of hand. that is, if this is what's happening.
anyway it's pretty strange. i am not some expert scholar in the field, with my knowledge being limited mostly to handful of books and documents. still, one should think that i should have heard of sonderkommando. however, i recall no mention of them at all. wikipedia seems to indicate that they were imprisoned jews who were tasked with massacring other prisoner.
so of course the choice of this particular population sample is a problem from a statistical position. -

let me spell it out for you. the fact that i did not know about it, despite having read several books and documents from this era, implies that it is likely to be a fictional invention. it does not remark on a "lack of seriousness". i doubt you have ever even read a single actual german document from the war, do not talk to me of seriousness when you are a podcast race creature who does not know a primary source from a nyt article.

as you can see, it is not plainly evident.
unclear how this shows the existence of sonderkommando. these photographs do not support even the thesis that the same people were tasked to handle the dead which is much weaker. even if they did, which they don't, I should think that it's ordinary enough to have prisoners burn bodies if many people died. and, it's nothing out of the ordinary for someone to do the same job. i think that having a chef does not imply the existence of some sort of chefenkommando.
i know it is difficult to provide substantial evidence of this. it must feel like an impossible task to do so using only photographs. there are no uniforms, no reports, not even papers like a meal ticket with their rank status on it. none of these exist because it was a terrible war and much was lost. we should not expect to find every detail. but just because something is difficult to prove due to circumstances does not mean we should just believe it without evidence. therefore, if the rest of the photographs are of this nature, i think that i will conclude there is only eye-witness testimony. -

well. it has quite a few issues with neutrality, for example in one place you describe footage as 'atrocity propaganda' when it could have adequately been described by a word that is equally accurate but not as emotionally loaded. when people do that, i am distrustful because it indicates they are trying to convince me of some topic. i would prefer that they instead try to present facts to me, at which point i will come to my own conclusions. the former sort of behavior is endemic in journalism, and one of the major causes of distrust. i urge you not to behave like a journalist.
that aside, for my preferences, it has too many pictures compared to written content. and with how short it is, i think it is quite far from scholarly.
