Fairies are often said to be just like humans. That is overwhelmingly selfish, with the bulk of them very nasty and the remainder merely dangerous. Dealing with humans as an alien that knew nothing about them would be very dangerous.

The Fairyland Story is a cute game with a witch that turns enemies to cake. It isn't immediately obvious in the game, but you can walk on the heads of enemies.
It was on the arcade, Sharp X68000, and MSX. The MSX version is supposed to have more stuff, but the Sharp X68000 version is like the arcade. The worse screenshot is from the MSX.
I might post some more X68000 or other obscure old games. This one seems to have been overshadowed by Bubble Bobble by the same company.

@Meemoo Nihilism does not make good stories. Even if the world is a dark place, it should have meaning. Even a dystopia should have something appealing about it.
Properly done gray is complexity, not meaninglessness.
