     It's a very shallow line of thought, killing a man out of revenge for the killings he did don't make you the same man. Motive, location, time, victim, and so on are all factors. An innocent man being killed for the sake of personal financial benefit is hardly the same as the death of the ringmaster who ordered the killing. The only time deaths are equal to each other in this way would be a warfront, and even then there can be objectively worse people on a warfront committing atrocities using inhumane methods of killing or killing non-combatants. At the point of saying this shit, just write the character to be a mary/gary sue and let em magic the problem out of existence without any murders, because then at least the problem is solved even if it's unsatisfying in its own way.
