    But that isn't the reason it's hated.
    It's hated because devs have taken to using it as a crutch to justify not optimizing their games.
    DLSS was originally proposed as a tech that would prolong the lifespan of your GPU but devs have gotten extremely irresponsible and now even good cards aren't good enough for the latest AAAA slop even at 1080p

    The new monster hunter straight up bases it's requirements around DLSS on the steam page for fucks sake

    Tales of Zestiria was one of the first PC games I've played on steam.
    I originally got it as a present from a friend and had to mod it to get it to a playable state on my potato of a laptop at the time. I think I played through the whole thing with an FPS cap set at 15 :laugh:

    I've been thinking of replaying it recently. Lots of fond memories. And I liked Edna a lot.

    Shit was expensive af.
    I once lost a friendship because my SMS got cut in half due to running out of balance and I didn't have money to recharge to get what I wanted to say across until it was too late :emoji_seethe:
