But that isn't the reason it's hated.
It's hated because devs have taken to using it as a crutch to justify not optimizing their games.
DLSS was originally proposed as a tech that would prolong the lifespan of your GPU but devs have gotten extremely irresponsible and now even good cards aren't good enough for the latest AAAA slop even at 1080p

The new monster hunter straight up bases it's requirements around DLSS on the steam page for fucks sake
