@nixCraft Don't understand why people are voting community/forum support. Each time I heard, it's like a religion, you're with us, or against us. Hope it's not the entire community who is like that.....

@itsfoss My criterias are simple: Be able to do what I need easily. I mean by that be able to do web browsing, be able to code (installing what I need easily), having good material support (specially nvidia drivers) and be able to game (steam/lutris/wine). If those are satisfied, I'm good. Guess I'm a good candidate for almost any distro since I install most of my stuff and maintenance by console. many an other one, having good community o be able to ask questions.

@nixCraft Depend if secure boot enabled or not in my case. If enabled, first step is putting an old screen to be able to get into the bios, because I end up with a black screen each time with my new 27" 😆

Also know what your bios key is, differ from each manufacturer (generally DEL or F12 is a good guess trough 😆 )

@nixCraft Math in CS is needed in specific field (AI or game engine for example, where there a lot of algo relying on statistic or physics)

@nixCraft Yeah, will be more on the edge. Guessing that the release cycle of the kernel in with few months, so by the time they will release, it will be stable. If my memory is correct, the did that for 24.10, (kernel 6.10 i think and 6.12r3 is already there)

@nixCraft Guess the old school way of communication is enough for their community. Glad to see that protocol still use today.
