If people get killed over replies to posts, they need to go outside, buy a flip phone, learn to use a map/road atlases and would be better off being literal Luddites.
We're multiple generations of people who spend too much time in front of a screen and your take is insane.
Half of me wants the Roman world back. Death before dishonor. If people take themselves out over trivialities, why even stop them? That's the responsibility of their parents and family to raise them to understand which things matter. It's not the responsibility of literally every random person on the Internet. -

Linus Tech Tips put out a video where the CEO says some crap, then some Asian woman almost cries and talks about how they're pausing videos (cringe) ... I stopped watching Linus over two years ago and switched almost entirely to GamersNexus for tech news (sometimes Jay 2 Cents, but he's honestly pretty cringe/worthless). Glad I did. LTT/LMG is a dumpster fire. -

Although I still get pissed off when Robert Barnes talks about how Rumble will not become Gab (he wrote part of the terms of service) in defending censorship of Fluentes (I don't even like Fluentes). -

Have you watched the factory tour videos? Those are the best things on GN ... and yea, it seems like he put a lot of effort to lean spoken Chinese .. there was one from a consumer expo a few weeks back where a bunch of people were in a room, some spoke Japanese, Mandarin, English, combinations .. and they were trying to find the most efficient way to translate between everyone -

It’s up to the judge to permanently commit him with no chance of release since the jury failed here. Even if you think this guy is not mentally capable, that’s even more reason he should go to prison for 25+ years because he’s a danger to himself and society.

People are always going to steal, so there should be punishment ... it won't stop current criminals, they'll steal again once they get out (I don't think the majority of really stupid people can be rehabilitated, and the people who stay perpetually in the criminal system and don't get out likely don't have IQs over 80), but it can prevent future generations from going down that path when they see the consequences.
If you want to prevent the growth of theft, it has to start very young. Men need to be encouraged to raise their fucking kids. People raising their biological kids (both of them) is something that needs to be a massive, shining virtue again. Family, dignity, honor .. they're all being destroyed by a culture of do-what-feels-good, abandon responsibility, the State should gibs, make money on onlyfans, etc..
The current generation of criminals is lost, but the next generation can be reduced if the pendulum can swing back a bit -

I'm not defending wal-mart. I don't like wal-mart, but they play within the rules. They might lobby to change some of the rules, but that's also playing within the rules. If you don't like it shop somewhere else (I literally stopped shopping at Wal-Mart from 2009 all the way until 2021. Then Target started selling chest binders to teenagers and I was like "fuck it" .. Wal-Mart has how-to-be-a-racist training for managers, but there were some things I couldn't buy anywhere else .. so I had to compromise ...🤷 )
I'm not defining wal-mart, but I hate thieves more. People can just stop shopping at places (I stopped shopping at Amazon in 2016). We can't really do anything about thieves if the State won't fucking put them in jail. -

There's a local wood worker on Craigslist that makes these beautiful outdoor tables. They're unfinished, so I've got to figure out what stain and sealant I want to use. I was surprised I was able to unload it all by myself. It's crazy heavy. But it'll be good to have a large picnic table for my fall potluck/bbq. -
