it's also the reason @nathans deleted the post. i expressed my disappointment that he didn't edit the post with a correction, which would have notified everyone who faved or boosted it. and he blocked me for it 🙄.

@cavyherd @nathans that's not to say that i encourage donating on checkout, btw. for one you don't get the choice of which charity to support and have no time to research the charity in question. also doing a donation directly gives you receipts you may use to get tax benefits yourself.

i also think it's generally preferable when money goes to charity (except maybe the really horrible ones) instead of the government, but i guess that's controversial 🤷.

@lain naja, diejenigen die sich den quatsch leisten können, ich zum beispiel nicht ich 😛 (zum glück ist die bahnanbindung okay, aber duch deren monopolpreise komm ich trotzdem nicht viel rum). und die meisten können sich das auch blos leisten weil sie ihre autobahnen auf öffentliche kosten bekommen usw.

ich sag nicht, dass in einer freien gesellschaft niemand autos hätte, gibt sicher viele situationen die ich nicht auf dem radar hab, aber der markt ist extrem verzerrt…

wobei es wahrscheinlich auch einfacher ist sich ne solaranlage aufs dach machen zu lassen als zusammen nen ÖPNV aufzubauen. weis nicht ob das primär das ein kulturelles problem ist und wie sehr da reguliering im weg steht 🤔.

@murilove i don't think much of the data is stolen. probably some of it comes from government surveillance or something, but most of it was published to be publicly accessible.

there seems to be some outrage about scraping public data which i seems super bizarre to me. downloading files is pretty much how the entire web works since forever.

but yeah, i guess i'm not sure what exactly you mean by stealing here… sorry if it feels like i'm being obtuse.

next i gave it a photo of a Game Boy as initial reference. it got the ~1:2 aspect ratio right, but on the white base rectangles are just oddly placed black rectandles and one red element.
