Same type of reasoning that convinced me the Electric Universe theory is much better at describing reality than consensus science

Anyone have connections in companies that treat their software engineers right that are either remote friendly or have offices in San Diego?

I got laid off at the start of the year, and even with a CV written by a pro I've gotten a horrible response rate. The only companies I've even gotten so much as a phone screen from are ones where they contacted me first.

Or just better cooking. Even simple ground beef is great if cooked right. I've made this dish many times, and am doing so again tonight:

The version of the recipe I use calls for 1 cup of white rice if you tend to use that instead of brown rice like me, and I don't use scallions. Follow your rice packaging's directions for cooking that part.

(The Haio gochujang I get from my local H-mart doesn't have soy in it, fwiw)

Guess I'm one of the few who was raised to save paper bags to use them as trash can liners when grocery stores still gave them out for free. My dad grew up poor, and while we didn't go as far as washing ziplock bags to reuse them, I get as much practical use as possible from my old gear when there's a way to do so. Just repurposed my old cell phone that no longer gets updates into a webcam, and my car is still going strong at over 300k miles.
