Christi JuniorNow that I’ve finally reached 1000 blocks, I think I’m gonna slightly dial back on terrorizing trannies and focus more on autistic gaming and anime fun. So for starters, let’s have a Fedi’s Favorite Vidya Girl Contest! I remember the VTuber tournament Poast had a while ago being really fun, and if anything I think more people here care about video game girls than VTubers (some video game girls even ARE VTubers, like Iono). My contest will also be a tournament, but a single-elimination one, modeled after the GameFAQs Character Battles of old.
But how to pick the girls that will participate? Simple, it will all come down to nominations - an individual user can nominate up to 3 girls, the #1 pick getting 3 Points, the #2 pick getting 2 points and the 3rd pick getting 1 point. The girls will qualify and be seeded based on how many Nomination points they get. No one is guaranteed a spot, not Tifa, not Samus, not even my precious Pyra, so you all have to vote for your favorites! If multiple girls end up with the same number of points, I’ll do a Tiebreaker poll to decide who makes it in, and if two girls that are qualified have the same number of points, their exact seeding will be randomly decided. I plan on this being a 16-girl tournament, but if I get enough nominations I might consider going for 32 instead. The nominations will be closed after around 24 hours. The actual contest polls will last 24 hours, one or two polls a day depending on the size of the tournament. Tiebreaker polls will be held if necessary.
As for the rules, it’s video game girls only, meaning female characters primarily associated with video games (so no Naruto or MHA girls just because they’ve been in some video game spinoffs). Girls from mobile games are allowed tho. Also, it’s video game *girls*, so no traps or futas. Also, it’s *girls*, not *whales*, so no fatties are allowed either. Monster Girls are allowed tho, as are Lolis. Whether you nominate and vote based on looks, personality, how much you like the game the girls are from etc is all up to you of course.
@nixCraft Linux is growing in Europe and Asia ... The future is Linux.
What? Did I stutter? I think not.
I live on the North American continent, and most of the latest tech and better user rights are not coming from here. But where they are coming from, Linux is now the #2 spot.
The 2023-2024 academic year will be the first full year where students have unlimited access to ChatGPT and other LLMs.
While it's easy to short-circuit AI use in the classroom or by requiring that they show their work on written assignments, it's harder to prevent its use, or use it effectively, in online assignments.
So I want to know: what's your best idea for an ONLINE assignment that either: (1) teaches them to use it effectively, or (2) asks them for something they can't easily produce with an LLM?
I'll go first!
For category #1, I ask them to have AI write a paragraph about a topic we studied in the module, and then have them fact-check each sentence with the assigned class readings. I also ask them to add one thing they learned about the topic that AI missed.
For category #2, since the pandemic I've added journaling to all my classes. I ask students to reflect on the content of that module using examples from their lives, their thoughts, or their lived experience. It's easy to tell if their response isn't personalized, meaning that they used AI to write it (not just improve it, which I am fine with).
@TomAintAroundhttps://now-zen.com/ what about one of these things? It dings once and waits 3m48s, dings again, and repeats more frequently until it forces you out of bed. The ding is a mechanical chime.
This is my #2 across the room. #1 is a normal alarm clock near the bed which I usually don't remember snoozing.
Objectively false, I really don't think you read the novels.
The scene you posted (whilst a meme) is a rejection scene, not a break up scene, it's even stated IN THE SCENE that he's rejecting her. It's also an adaptation of Volume 12, chapter 3, page 239.
Kuroneko broke up with him in Volume 8, chapter 3, page 275.
picrel #1) break up scene picrel #2) rejection scene
@coolboymew and if you want to complain about their behavior later, #2 is what I'd focus on. They should know you well enough to know that you wouldn't be shouting at them without a really good reason.
This reminds me of a case where my family split up at a movie theater to watch different movies. I went to one, my sister to another, and my parents to a third. When I came out, I checked on my sister and found that her movie had ended already, but I didn't find her in the theater's entry area where we should've met up. I thought she might've wandered off and checked just outside, and gradually I panicked: I thought she'd been kidnapped. I checked the theater multiple times, I was running through the park that we were in, and later I got to back to the theater to find my sister and our parents waiting for me. I went from a 4x heartrate to a 1x heartrate in an instant, I was overcome with relief--and then my mom gave me a angry harangue, because while I'd been panicking about my sister being kidnapped, they were going through the same experience as I had, about me.
And she dressed me down similarly to how your dad reacted: it was supposedly *wrong* for me to have desperately tried to look around for my sister. I should have done *nothing*, just sat there and waited. That was frustrating enough that I occasionally remember it and seethe all over again.
@Moto_Chagatai Honestly, I don't even know if this IS bait. I mean, OP endorses this meme (yes the text cuts off, it's supposed to represent the meme maker's unrelenting horny).
BONUS: Image #2 while scrolling. Trans flag but with that statement... :doge_laugh: I feel dirty now having spent time on this user's page... :cirno_what:
Really bruh @Gargron Mastodon RSS are completely unusable
Is it that hard to make it skip the no name title if it's not using the subject field? It works fine in Pleroma (see pic #2), where it works exactly as expected, and stuff with titles also works
