     Windows is # 1 OS in all countries except India.

     Android is #1 OS in India.

     In developed nations, macOS is always at # 2 spot except Germany.

     Linux is always at # 3 spot in developed nations except in Germany.

     @nixCraft India really love their mobile devices. I think there's nearly twice as many devices as there are people.

     @scollonp Indian folks from India skipped three things:
     a) Buying a laptop or desktop
     b) Getting Fiber or wired internet
     c) IPv4 (almost all traffic from India is from IPv6)
     They directly jumped at mobile devices, and India has the cheapest mobile data plans worldwide. It is crazy.

     @nixCraft I wonder if that is because Linux is more popular in Germany or because macOS is less popular.. Do we have per capita usage numbers at all?

     @wiredfire I think German folks are more privacy concern citizens. I won't be surprised if they are more into TOR (T1) and VPN for privacy reasons. I can't track TOR or VPN users per country, but Germany definitely got more T1 users.

     The reason why Windows ranks #1 on my blog is because it mainly focuses on IT and programming. If my blog was about lifestyle topics like yoga or clothing, I would expect to see more Apple iOS/macOS users in the top spot.

     @nixCraft I have them on all my desk :D Well, all except Android, that is. I haven’t actually used that since the old G1 days, since shortly after I had an argument with jjm over the necessity (at that time) of task managers.

     Kinda miss using my G1, actually. I still have it, but it’s kinda a brick. And slow as a slow thing stuck in slow stuff.

     I had designs to incorporate it as a sort of controller on a telescope mount, but well, never got around to it. Not much point these days I suppose.

     @nixCraft Linux is growing in Europe and Asia ... The future is Linux.

     What? Did I stutter? I think not.

     I live on the North American continent, and most of the latest tech and better user rights are not coming from here. But where they are coming from, Linux is now the #2 spot.

     The future is Linux.

     2. My user agent says I'm using Windows although I'm using Linux, because of fingerprinting.
