okay, I guess they might not know since they paid $400 for unfinished HK416 lowers a few years back
Don’t you want an AR with a 10 in inch barrel that weighs as much as an M1 garand?!?!?

Fairly usable for some people in a way that ARs aren’t

d (deprecated_ii@poa.st)'s status on Monday, 06-Nov-2023 10:43:44 JST d @givenup @WashedOutGundamPilot @nugger ruger 10/22, glock 19, basic bitch AR, remington 870 or mossberg 500
that's all you need to know about guns
for hunting medium to large meat animals in north america, basically any bolt action in 308 winchester is fine. for hunting smaller game animals, one of the previously mentioned guns will do the job -

There’s something fundamentally childlike about an unarmed adult man, particularly when we had the AWB hanging over our heads for so long.
CCW pistol is by far the most important, and IDC what they pick as long as they actually carry the damn thing

I’m talking the bare minimum where you walk into a gun store and buy a $550 ruger/S&W, toss it under your bed, and throw a few boxes of ammo under there. It’s about as cheap as you can imagine such a weapon system ever being in terms of time/upkeep/proficiency/cost, and all kinds of normies do it every day. Takes you maybe 2 hours out of your life, and however many labor hours to own. Now you have a competent arm for your progeny to one day survive, should the worst come to pass. Phenomenally cheap. Swords, armbrusts, spears, etc were far costlier in terms of how much work you’d invest, and how ineffective they would be at defeating ranged masses of enemies
A guy who’s jacked into our world, who can’t even do THAT - at least if he has the money to tie up in it - is basically a 12 year old in a fat old body

FOr now at least you don’t really need a rifle, but a pistol is basically essential. In the right community you would be taken care of. I’ve seen more than one young dude w/ an earnest heart walk out of a boomer’s home w/ an unwanted pistol.
The perks of hyperarmed old guys, I guess. “ah this old thing ain’t worth the hassle of selling. Enjoy, you’re a Bersa/Taurus/SW owner now!”
