     We cannot leave this planet

     Let’s be honest and ask ourselves if this is actually a good thing, though. We can’t even work through the problems we have now when it comes to us as a species (and while it’s a topic for another thread and another time, many feel some don’t even belong in the classification of ‘same species’), so us just going to another world takes our strife through the cosmos.

     Humanity’s likely going to die in its cradle anyhow, so it’s a little too hopeful to think we’ll make it to the stars.

     Sure you do. Realize that we are not building a technological civilization by choice. This is not something we can vote on, then change course.
     
     This is Humanity, and it will never be different.
     
     The "environmentalist" should watch the show "life after people". We are in a fight of our life AGAINST nature, and we are losing every day.
     
     We cannot leave this planet because the fucking tree huggers are wasting our time, our resources, our motivation, our chances.
