     @shaybryder Most of them do not, it goes away after a second. Only when someone locks their account they need to get manually approved.

     @coin Both of Wario64's accounts. Is it because the're on different instances? I really haven't bothered trying to follow anyone until today, the rate limit and killing off of tweetdeck is the final straw.

You may not like it: twtr.plus is a twitter mirror which I don't know if it still works and mastodon.social defederated from poa.st for obvious reasons. You may want to move to a different instance if you want to interact with people from beyond the fediblock firewall.

     @shaybryder Well talking about poa.st (which is one of the most defederated instance btw) here’s a list of all the instances that disallow federation. most of them utilize the #fediblock blacklist which this is a non-comprehensive list of

     @shaybryder It's a nuclear option, but it has its use case in case of actually unruly instances that we've had in the past that was ran by pedophiles and let them post child pornography freely.
     
     This is why a big instance isn't actually healthy. we should be more spread out - ideally everyone should have they're own single user instance - but that's not realistic. Poa.st is an outlier that it's huge and houses a lot of uncouth individuals so it gets to be first in line of the fediblock, even more so that instances that interact with poa.st can be on your crosshair.

     @Bead @coin Problem is a lot of normie shit I want to follow is over there. The whole reason I liked twitter was everything I wanted to get updates on, be it sales, news, art, or shitposting was all in one nice aggregate feed. It was like RSS feeds on steroids.
     
     I'm annoyed I have to pull up a bunch of tabs and make a bunch of accounts because Elon Musk is a retard.

     @shaybryder @Bead @coin thats the price we pay for allowing our users to say what they want for the most part. lefty types dont like it. mastodon.social is a hugbox. there's a journalist instance here that is the same way, too. and mastodon.art. they dont want to read hurty words or have anyone question their morality

     Yeah.

     I got defederated from both mastodon.social and mastodon.art despite being a low profile single-user instance and pretty much always being well-mannered.

     If you try to basically get along with everyone, that actually makes you a target among some of the more aggressive censorship types, but I think it’s mostly their loss.
