     @RehnSturm256 @LittleTom I felt a lot of it was reserved for text entries like above. I don't know the level of involvement Kojima had in ever element of the game, but I do remember one of the reveal trailers before release he made a special point of giving a red hat to Norman Reedus, who I believe is a registered Republican.

     Maybe everybody really is pozzed after all, but I think Kojima's understands more than the industry allows him to say out loud.

     @Rasterman @LittleTom While I'm not personally familiar with his work, everything I've heard about Kojima points to him being a shitlib. Most "creative" types are unfortunately shitlibs, for a wide variety of reasons, but some are a lot better about keeping their worst impulses in check than others.

If you're actually creative and adventurous and right-of-center you'll inevitably bump into verboten territory. Generally the American Right is incredibly anti-intellectual. The French Right has more of an intellectual tradition. And there's no shot at institutional support for anything beyond midwit dishwater Christianity and bugman tax reform wonkery.

     @Edge @Rasterman @LittleTom Oh, gatekeeping is definitely *one* of those reasons I alluded to, another one is rightwingers/conservatives gravitating more towards doing the "real jobs" due to being more inclined to "do their duty" and living up to family and societal expectations rather than follow their dreams and passions. Even if left-liberals naturally leaned more creative (remember, even someone like Tolkien was pro-suffragette and anti-Nazi), the overwhelming leftwing dominance is say, Hollywood and the modern sci-fi/fantasy industry, is obviously not the product of merit or even giving the public what it wants.
     
     In retrospect, I can definitely see how my phrasing about "creative" types made a stronger claim about left-liberals being more naturally gifted in this field than what I actually believe, it was more meant as a commentary about how "creative" fields actually look today.

     Gatekeeping. The main reason is industry and community-wide gatekeeping, combined with a concerted effort by the new left to get their guys into such industries and a neocon effort (in the US anyway) to discourage right wingers from such pursuits.
     Not saying you're doing this here but I hate seeing our guys buy into the "they're naturally more creative because reasons" line when it was only ever a poor attempt to cover up the above. I mean, just look at the state of modern media in America. Is this the result of people who are "automatically the best at art because they just are OK!?"?

     Nowadays it's easier than ever to be a self published and self made creator. The media elite's gatekeeping would be irrelevant if more right wing people just made things. That's one of the reasons that my wife and I are making a comic.

     Man this is so true. Muh free market worship and other hypothetical belief systems that require societal circumstances which aren't realistic. At least leftists had a lot of creative ideas for a while before neoliberalism hijacked everything.
     
     Now that that's out of the way, have you heard about distributism? It's this really cool "middle way" position that rejects the false dichotomy of capitalism v Marxism and hey wait where are you going!?

     Which is very 'old world' and completely antithetical to our bootstrap-loving individualism. It's a shame because our system as it's described can theoretically create some incredibly industrious people. Unfortunately its generally exploitative and sociopathic tendencies help drive success without the cultural punishment of a European model. It's like it makes America EXTREMELY adaptive but also really shallow and lame.

Who among them has any sort of artistic appreciation or desire to lead culture in a positive direction? Under their watch they have surrendered the creative sphere to the faggots and jews and now shitposters are the only source of positive cultural creation around.
     Like you said earlier, the old right is made up of wasps who sold out to jews and the wealthy who have little interest in culture; the results speak for themselves. They are among the worst classes to be ever given a leadership role in society.
